WakeMeow support
WakeMeow: Alarms & Naps pairs wake-up alarms, short naps and optional wake-up tasks with Miaoli, your cat companion. It runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
Set up an alarm or a nap
- Create a wake-up alarm, choose its time and repeat days, then save it.
- For a short rest, choose a nap from 5 to 45 minutes and start it.
- Allow system alarms when iOS asks. If you declined permission, open WakeMeow’s Settings and choose “Open iOS Settings” to manage access.
- Check that your plan is enabled and that the app shows no permission or scheduling error. Try your setup on your own iPhone before relying on it for an important event.
Wake-up alarms and nap alerts use Apple’s system alarm service (AlarmKit). A countdown or Live Activity shows progress; it is not a separate alert. An alert may play through the phone speaker and is not restricted to headphones. A powered-off phone may not alert.
Wake-up tasks and stopping an alarm
You can add a math, memory or typing task to a wake-up alarm. Silent rehearsals let you try a task without starting a system alarm.
Tasks do not block the system Stop button or the app’s emergency stop. Completing a task is an in-app interaction, not a measurement of whether you are awake or have slept well.
When the app can confirm the current alarm state, you can end this snooze while keeping future repeats. If it asks you to check the alarm, use the system alarm controls to stop it.
Silent focus is a different mode
Focus is a silent timer in the app. It does not schedule a system alarm or promise a sound in the background. Use an alarm or a nap when you need a system alert.
Choose English or Simplified Chinese
WakeMeow follows your iOS language preferences and supports English and Simplified Chinese. English is the fallback when no supported language matches.
In WakeMeow, open Settings → Language → App language. This opens the app’s page in iOS Settings, where you can choose its language. Reopen the app after changing it. Your own alarm names and earlier check-ins keep their original text.
Export or clear your data
Plans, history, personal check-ins, preferences and room progress stay on your device. History is kept for up to 365 days. WakeMeow has no account or in-app cloud sync.
- Export my data: Settings → My data → Export my data creates a JSON file. It includes alarm names, times and check-ins. Review it before choosing a destination in the iOS share sheet.
- Preview redacted diagnostics: inspect a local summary before deciding whether to share it. It excludes alarm names, exact schedule times, headphone names, device identifiers, recordings and health data.
- Clear history only: removes history and check-ins, while keeping future alarms and room progress.
- Cancel all alarms & clear data: first cancels the app’s system alarms, then clears its local records. If cancellation fails, records are kept so you can check and retry.
The app does not automatically upload exports or diagnostics. A destination you choose for sharing handles that file under its own rules. See the WakeMeow privacy policy for details.
